Wisconsin's youth gun deer hunt is Oct 10 to 11. Archery has been open since Sept 12. Before you climb this weekend, walk this list. The line to remember: Clip in first.
- Harness. Wear a full body harness every time, with any stand type.
- Lifeline. Stay connected from the ground until you are back down.
- Haul line. Raise and lower an unloaded firearm or bow with a haul line.
- Plan. Charged phone, sound tree, and someone who knows your plan.
