Wisconsin's youth gun deer hunt is Oct 10 to 11, and archery has been open since Sept 12. Before you climb, walk this list.

✅ Wear a full body harness every time, with any stand type
✅ Keep your tether short so it holds you in the seat
✅ Stay on a lifeline from the moment you leave the ground until you are back down
✅ Three points of contact while climbing up or down
✅ Raise and lower an unloaded firearm or bow with a haul line
✅ Carry a charged phone and tell someone where you are and when you'll be back

Know the clock. The Wisconsin DNR says suspension trauma can happen in less than 20 minutes and can be fatal. If you are hurt, call first responders or someone in your hunting party.
